These are Emma's two states of being at the moment. Sleeping and crying (or drinking a bottle).

Overall I can't complain since she sleeps relatively through the night. She will wake up once for a bottle but go right back to sleep. Emma' Pop Pop discovered that she snores and she does (sometimes quite loudly) but its awful cute and reassures me that she is sleeping and still breathing. (Even though she is my 6th, I still get worried and shake her if she sleeping soundly just to make sure). I read online that newborns cannot be spoiled and its ok to let her sleep on your chest, etc wherever she is comfortable. Apparently, no one told Emma she is too little to be spoiled because she wants to sleep with or very near to someone. If you put her down in her basinette, no matter how long she has been sleeping peacefully, she will begin to WAIL within 2 minutes. If you don't pick her up within a minute or two, her cries develop into a weird and annoying "tommy gun" cry. It is incredibly hard to fault someone so little and sweet for just wanting to be with you, everyone should be so lucky to have such a problem. :)
